Internet marketing for law firm growth has a currency. This currency is what is known as "permission marketing."  You give your visitor value, and they will give you permission (by giving you their name and e-mail address) to build a relationship with them over time. Just as important, they will tell others about you.

Internet marketing for law firm growth, done correctly, will become a major stream of new, good clients for much, much less than the cost of other advertising vehicles.

Lawyer marketing on line can be much more cost effective than law marketing with yellow pages, attorney advertising using media ads, or direct mail lawyer advertising.

Law firm Internet marketing will also save you in time spent in marketing, since so much of it is automated.

The "True Content" of

There is almost guaranteed return on investment in Internet marketing for law firms if done correctly. What is the most important piece to have in place to make lawyer marketing online successful?

It is: Content written to the right keywords.

How do you get the "right keywords"? Good question… here's how:

keywords and keyword phrases are critical to success.
 

  • Second - Go to Yahoo. Search using what you think might be the top five keywords you have discovered. Find the top ten law firm Internet marketing websites that come up for each of your suspected top 5 keywords. Go to those sites and look at the source code for the meta tag keywords on those sites, writing all their keywords down.

    If you are using Internet Explorer as your web browser, you can see the source code for a web page by going up to your top navigation bar and click on "view."  Then scroll down to the word "source" and click on that. This will open a new window that shows you the "code" the technician used to build the web page you see. You are seeing behind the curtain.

    Look for the spot usually close to the top where you see "<meta NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT=" and then a bunch of words. Those are the keywords this site thinks are important words their clients would search for them under. This should give you some good ideas on what your keywords could be.

  • Third – You'll use several software keyword analysis tools to analyze and verify each keyword you have found (find a free tool at www.GoodKeywords.com - it is a fairly good keyword research tool.)

  • Fourth - Add what you found in the keyword analysis tool to what you found in the 1st and 2nd steps. Determine by the data from the Internet as best you can on your own what the top 20 keywords are for your practice. Successful Internet marketing for law firm growth will rely on the keywords you select.

Don't get discouraged and most important, don't go do this yet.

The truth is, law firm Internet marketing should not have to be so difficult. You should be able to get all the benefits of permission marketing, attract new and profitable clients, rely on automation, and save time, not spend it.
